Hi! My name is Tiffany and I’m a single mom with a 17 year old son and a Labrador Retriever, living in the north Atlanta suburbs. I enjoy being active, eating good foods, traveling, learning new things, and spending time with my family and friends. And yet these are my challenges every day, as well! Short on time and money, I am constantly looking for ways to have fun on a budget.
15 years ago I left my big corporate job to start my own retail business. Importing and selling furniture and home accessories was a dream job, and the store name, Inner Piece, reflected my post-corporate nirvana. But as any business owner knows, it was a 24/7/365 job. Did I mention I’m a single mom….?! It increasingly became much more important to me to be at home when my son got off the bus to help with homework, cook a yummy dinner, and enjoy being a mom. After some soul searching and financial budgeting, I decided to close my business and look for a job that allowed me to meet my goals.
Fast forward 9 months to an offer from Points North magazine: an 8-2 job that allowed me to earn an income while still being home when my son got off the bus. Of course this “part time” job came with a part time salary, and so began my quest to maintain enjoying all my favorite things on a shoestring budget. And I have to tell you, 10 years later, I’m still amazed at all the fun things we do on little to no money. It just takes time to search out the deals. And that’s how this website was born. I’ll let you in on all the deals I find. I’m so happy to be able to save you time and money so that you can get out there and enjoy your favorite things!

Travel is a true passion of mine. I was born in Germany when my father was in the military, and grew up hearing stories of the Eiffel Tower, the Rhine, castles, and wienerschnitzel. I knew early on that I wanted to see the world.
After a college internship in London, I headed off to backpack Europe, Eurail pass in hand. At the time, I told a friend I wanted to see Europe and “get it out of my system”. Being much wiser than me he said “You never get it out of your system. You only make it worse. Travel only makes you want to travel more”.
Well, he was right. Now my challenge is how to continue to feed my wanderlust on my limited budget. It can be done. We all know about Expedia, Priceline, and other similar sites, so there’s little need for me to relay their deals to you. My goal is to tell you about lesser known deals. Going to China? Check out www.elong.net for deals on domestic flights. I know, you may not need a flight from Shanghai to Xian, but if you find yourself headed to China, check them out!
This page is a work in progress, so bear with me as I search out travel deals to share with you!
